The history of cold drip

It's said that Dutch traders invented the cold drip method as early as the 17th century. A lot of the time when the traders traveled to Asia, they couldn't brew hot coffee every day. So they started brewing it cold in large quantities to carry with them on their travels. This is where the alternative name for Cold Drip "Dutch Coffee" comes from. 

The Japanese then adopted the art of brewing cold-dripped coffee and refined it to perfection throughout the course of centuries. Coining the brewing method as "Kyoto Cold Brew". This is where the minimal cold drip towers came from and are now spreading globally.
